Montréal, Canada, September 12, 2024 – Airwayz, a global leader in Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) systems, has successfully participated in the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) inaugural Advanced Air Mobility Symposium (AAM2024), held at ICAO’s headquarters in Montréal from September 9–12. Airwayz showcased its revolutionary Dynamic UTM system, designed to support the safe, efficient, and scalable operation of Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drones and air-taxis.
This landmark event, focused on the global harmonization and interoperability of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), gathered key stakeholders from the aviation industry, academia, and regulatory bodies. The discussions highlighted the importance of seamless airspace integration for emerging technologies like eVTOL aircraft and drone systems. Airwayz demonstrated its commitment to driving this evolution, providing innovative solutions to ensure safe, real-time coordination of unmanned and manned air traffic.
“Our Dynamic UTM system is setting a new standard for airspace management, empowering the future of air mobility with AI-driven solutions that prioritize safety and scalability,” said Eyal Zor, CEO and Co-Founder of Airwayz. “As AAM advances, the need for robust airspace infrastructure grows, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this shift, facilitating the integration of eVTOLs and air-taxis into commercial airspace.”
During the symposium, Airwayz’s leadership team, including Zor, Edna Cahanovice (Chief Development Officer), Adi Leshem (Head of Regulation), and Or Adar (Director of Product), engaged with ANSPs, BVLOS operators, and AAM stakeholders. They showcased how Airwayz’s Dynamic UTM system not only optimizes airspace integration but also ensures that safety remains at the core of scalable AAM operations.
With live demonstrations at Booth #19, Airwayz highlighted the potential for its UTM system to manage complex airspaces, integrating both manned and unmanned aircraft while supporting the rise of AAM technologies, such as eVTOLs and air-taxis. These innovations are crucial as global adoption of AAM accelerates.
AAM2024 provided an essential platform for Airwayz to collaborate with industry leaders and regulators on building the future of aviation, focusing on safety, financial sustainability, and operational efficiency.
