Airwayz at Amsterdam Drone Week
Located at Booth #11.314, the Airwayz team, including experts Edna, Tomer, and Noa, showcased their Dynamic UTM platform, which is transforming airspace management with AI-driven efficiency. The team’s presence sparked significant interest and engagement, as attendees discovered how Airwayz is leading the way in smarter skies.
“We were thrilled to kick off Amsterdam Drone Week 2024 and share our innovative solutions with a global audience,” said Tomer, one of Airwayz’s leading experts. “The event provided an incredible platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration, reinforcing our commitment to revolutionizing airspace management.”
Key Highlights
- Seaport Collaboration: One of the most notable moments was hosting the first meeting of Europe’s three largest seaports—Port of Rotterdam, Port of Hamburg, and Port of Antwerp-Bruges—at the Airwayz booth. This historic collaboration aims to address the challenge of managing Very Low-Level (VLL) airspace, marking a significant step towards unified and efficient airspace management across major European ports.
- Municipalities and U-Space: Airwayz also engaged with representatives from the municipalities of Hamburg, Helsinki, and Seinäjoki, discussing the future of U-Space management. The trend of municipalities and seaports taking responsibility for their own VLL airspace was a prominent theme, underscoring the growing importance of local governance in airspace management.
- EUROCONTROL Event: The Airwayz team participated in the EUROCONTROL event, gaining insights from Wilbert Ritsema’s lecture on policy changes in the Netherlands and the ministry’s support for developing CIS and U-Space. This session provided valuable lessons learned related to ongoing U-Space implementation activities across Europe.
A Resounding Success
The three-day event was a resounding success for Airwayz, marked by fruitful meetings with ANSPs, CAAs, and partners. The team exchanged ideas, shared experiences from global projects, and explored new collaboration opportunities.
“Amsterdam Drone Week 2024 was an outstanding success for Airwayz,” said Noa, a key member of the Airwayz team. “The atmosphere was electric, and the endless knowledge exchange has inspired us to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in UTM.”
