DynamicUTM in Action: Airwayz Shines at American Robotics HQ Launch

Baltimore County, MD – 25 June 2024 – Airwayz is proud to announce its pivotal role in the grand opening of American Robotics’ new Headquarters and Customer Demonstration & Training Center, held on June 12-13, 2024, in Baltimore County, Maryland. The event marked a significant milestone for drone technology and urban air mobility, with Airwayz demonstrating its cutting-edge DynamicUTM system in a series of advanced drone operations.

The two-day event featured live demonstrations of American Robotics’ Autonomous Drone-in-a-Box solution, the Optimus System, highlighting scenarios such as Search & Rescue, Inspection, and Mapping missions. These demonstrations provided a platform for Airwayz to showcase its innovative Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) capabilities, emphasizing real-time deconfliction and seamless airspace management.

Highlights of the Event:

  • BVLOS Demonstrations: The Optimus System executed several Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) scenarios, including Search & Rescue operations, LiDAR mapping, and real-time tactical deconfliction with non-cooperative drones. These scenarios were supported by Airwayz’s DynamicUTM system, which ensured safe and efficient flight operations.
  • Real-Time Airspace Management: Key industry leaders, FAA representatives, county officials, customers, and potential customers witnessed the seamless integration of Airwayz’s DynamicUTM system with American Robotics’ drone operations. The system provided live air traffic data, radar information, and ADS-B inputs, ensuring comprehensive airspace awareness and safety.
  • Innovative Technology Integration: The demonstrations featured dual-screen displays: one showcasing American Robotics’ system and the other displaying Airwayz’s DynamicUTM system. This integration highlighted the robust capabilities of Airwayz in managing U-Space activity through RF and radar detection systems, as well as manned aviation detection.

Eyal Zor, CEO of Airwayz, stated, “Participating in the launch of American Robotics’ new HQ was a tremendous opportunity to demonstrate our DynamicUTM system’s capabilities. Our real-time deconfliction and airspace management solutions are pivotal in ensuring the safety and efficiency of BVLOS operations, and this event provided a perfect platform to showcase our technology in action.”

The successful launch of American Robotics’ new Headquarters and Customer Demonstration & Training Center in Maryland underscores the importance of advanced UTM solutions in the future of urban air mobility. Airwayz remains committed to pioneering innovations that enhance the safety, efficiency, and integration of autonomous drone operations in complex airspace environments.
